Kaoud Rugs & Abe Kaoud Family Foundation donated $7,500 to Foodshare to help the people in the Greater Hartford area who are struggling with food insecurity.
“We are extremely grateful to our community partner Kaoud Rugs and the Kaoud family for supporting our mission. The money raised will help us immensely, especially during this pandemic where we have seen an increased number of individuals facing food insecurity for the first time in their lives,” said Jason Jakubowski, President and CEO of Foodshare.
Throughout the month of June, Kaoud Rugs donated a portion of their profits of rugs and carpets sold to Foodshare.
“Kaoud Rugs has been a part of the Connecticut Community for over 65 years. This is our home. As we re-open our stores and return to business again, we are very aware that many of our neighbors do not yet have work to return to. For many, the need is very real. We hope this helps in these troubled times. We especially want to thank our customers, old and new, for their generous support. We could not have reached our goal without them!”, said Maurice Kaoud of Kaoud Rugs.
